Have You Seen My Blue Widget?
When we first met, many years ago,
I had all my dirty blue widgets with me.
Then, as years passed, some of them got cleaned,
When you took them to that German laundry.
Some other widgets grew up and blossomed,
Turning themselves in those blue forget-me-not flowers we liked so much.
The last three widgets I wanted to keep for myself,
But their dirty blue color faded over time,
Letting me with three used, grey widgets,
Nobody would give two pennies for.
Do you think, if I left you
Would my dirty blue widgets be back again?
Let the Dirty Blue Widgets Roll
Don’t be too scared of this recession,
Don’t give up now your shopping session,
Dirty blue widgets are now discounted
Your links and coupons will be all counted.
I wish so much you all buy from me
A widget or two, or maybe even three.
‘Coz I wanna be dirty, filthy rich,
And smoke Havanas laying on the beach.
I’m now staying here with my widgets of gold,
Dreaming of the day when they’ll be all sold,
All dirty, all blue, and feeling quite old…
