You should do an angel investment in the ClamCase and make them design it better.

@tonybeir Please tell me you’re kidding. Kevin just did an honest review video and you’re complaining about a price? Last time I checked, handcrafted products are not cheap. You get what you pay for.

    @tonybeir
So the average geek has money to splurge on an iPad?

How is this case more expensive than generic ones you get at best buy or apple store?

    tonybeir // May 1st, 2010 at 4:08 pm

@87ramasaurus mmm let’s think a little bit. there are thousands of cases out there and thousands of electronics products… kevin rose rarely blogs about products he just likes. the last time he blogged about a product it was for a company he invested on. Oh an yea these guys just happpen to live in san fran nearby to him what a lucky coincidence also it happens to be a high markup item

@MustLovePoop Out of 10 comments one just NEEDS to come from the asshole of a retarded cocksucking douchebag.

@tonybeir you really think its a “paid” review ? Why ?

    tonybeir // May 1st, 2010 at 5:37 pm

how much did you get paid for this ad kevin? also when did you lose perspective on what money is worth to the average geek? do you really think your audience has the kinda of cash to splurge on that case?

you changed man. go play with your silicon richie friends

Can’t wait to get mine, but I’m worried about something. If you flip the front over, will it not lay flat, only raised for typing? Thanks, great review!

@flarbton Locally hand crafted and not mass produced, made from quality material = hike in cost. How is $50 expensive? My Invisible Shield and Griffin case for my iPhone combined cost me over $70 here in Canada. I figured $50 USD for a quality, stylish iPad case like the Dodo seemed fair.

Thanks for the review, just ordered one!

@edgefusion It’s just a cover that looks pretty. I need a case that has more function than that. The happyowl case has room for storing cards, pens, documents, etc. This thing is just a glorified cover. The bamboo is exceptional, but it’s all for show.

    edgefusion // May 1st, 2010 at 8:45 pm

@onewillyou Oh have you used one? What about it makes you give it such a low score? Kevin seemed to like it a lot.

    edgefusion // May 1st, 2010 at 9:15 pm

I want an iPad just so I can use this case.

Nice review. You should make another video with other cases you’ve tried.
Looking for one as well, mostly for protection as I find the iPad quite comfortable to hold as is.

90% style, 10% substance. Happy Owl Studios… Now they have a case that actually makes sense.

way too expensive for cheap materials and obvious design. I’d rather go buy a cheap notebook and make my own lol.

It looked like the iPad was falling out repeatedly in the Incase case when you had it in it’s multiple viewing angles. Does it really fall out a lot when you’re typing using the on-screen keyboard? I really need a case but so far nothing currently on the market seems usable and basically my iPad is just sitting in it’s box because I can’t take it anywhere but home.

@sicknastyballer Thanks, and yes I really like that small keyboard. It is a perfect travel keyboard, can actually fold up and put in your pocket. The iPad in the Apple case is my Wife’s and the other in the Incase is my iPad.

    MrHG78 // May 2nd, 2010 at 5:35 am

@PumaM90 They might have a few small laptop cases that you could put the Incase case into. Incase does make a travel bag, but only the iPad will fit without any thick case to slide in a pocket for travel.

    PumaM90 // May 2nd, 2010 at 5:59 am

do they make a case to protect the $60 incase case? XD

That was a VERY good review. It’s convinced me not to buy the Apple version. If only this case had a few external or internal pockets for some papers or business cards.

How much does the incase cost?

  43. 43
    MrHG78 // May 2nd, 2010 at 10:46 am

@slycooper1020 It was the Think Outside Bluetooth keyboard. They don’t make these anymore but you can find them on eBay. Also the StoweAway Bluetooth keyboard is the same.
